Patrick Teevens, CD, P.Eng. (President) - Pat has over 28 years petroleum experience in the fields of chemistry, chemical engineering unit operations and corrosion engineering. His vast experience and international exposure both technically and professionally through his career and participation in NACE International has catapulted him into cutting edge technologies. Pat is a recognized authority on corrosion engineering problems and more importantly, how to solve them. He is particularly well known for his groundbreaking developments of field-based remote real-time corrosion rate monitoring with electrochemical noise. Pat is also an API-510 and an Alberta, ABSA Certified In-Service Pressure Vessel Inspector and has extensive experience as a chief inspector for several major oil companies. Pat is a member of the NACE International, Technical Coordination Committee (TCC) as their outgoing Science Advisor. Pat is a Lead Instructor for the recently developed NACE Internal Corrosion for Pipelines Course. He is a recipient of the NACE International, Northern Area (Canada and Alaska) 2001 Outstanding Service Award and in 1999 was a joint recipient of the UK Millennium Products Award presented by Prime Minister Tony Blair on December 14, 1999 in London, England to Integrity Solutions (now Intercorr International).

Diana Artamonova (Mapping Specialist) - Diana is a petrochemical engineer having graduated from the Oil and Chemistry Institute in Baku, Azerbaijan. Diana is responsible for the promotion of business matters for Broadsword and to build solid friendly working relationships with our provincial and federal regulators. Diana is our technical contact for translating business contractual matters between Russian speaking clients and Broadsword. Diana has over 19 years petroleum industry experience in the environmental monitoring and remediation perspective.

Dana Robertson (Vallee), B.A., QAA (Executive Assistant) - Dana has over 14 years experience in the Administrative field. She has recently completed her General Management and Human Resources Certificates at the University of Calgary. Her studies and membership with the Administrative Assistants Association has resulted in being awarded a certificate in the "Qualified Administrative Assistant Program". Her strong interpersonal skills coupled with a good, solid network of peers, has allowed her to coordinate specific tasks or assignments in an efficient manner which helps the company. She has a very strong organizational skill-set which has directly benefited the company, and is capable of keeping her co-workers well organized, as well as ensuring the business is flowing smoothly.

Thomas Avann, P.Eng., PMP (Vice-President, Engineering) - Thomas has over 19 years petroleum experience in the fields of electrical and computer engineering. Thomas has a tremendous wealth of knowledge and practical experience in the integration of process control systems and enterprise systems (business applications) related to SCADA, PLC and DCS. Thomas is the key individual that ensures real-time corrosion and vibration monitoring intended to be deployed in remote locations is correctly interfaced, transferred and polled in sequence to ensure coverage is uniform. As our VP of Engineering, Thomas assumes responsibility for the engineering quality and timeliness of our reports as required by our clients and provincial and federal regulators. Thomas is President of Caber Engineering.

Donald Robertson, B.Sc., P.Eng. - Don is a metallurgical engineer and contracts to Broadsword through his company, Aries Integrity Inc. His past experience includes over thirteen years experience in oil and gas pipeline in-line inspection, stress corrosion cracking evaluation, condition evaluation, repair requirement determination and subsequent repair management, failure analysis and internal corrosion control with major international gas transmission and consulting companies. He conducted non-destructive examination and failure analysis of mining equipment in the tar sands operations in northern Alberta, Canada and welding procedure development and quality assurance inspections for an EPC company. Reviewed all sections of CSA Z662 (Canada), API 1160, NACE RP0102-2002, ASME B31.8S 2001 (United States), NEB Onshore Pipeline Regulations (Canada), EUB Pipeline Act (Alberta, Canada), DOT Hazardous Liquid and draft Gas Pipeline Rules (United States). Don was formerly the Calgary, Alberta ASM Chapter secretary for many years and is a member of APEGGA (Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta), APEGS (Association of Professional Engineers & Geoscientists of Saskatchewan) and also has Permission to Consult from APEGS. Don was also involved with NACE (National Association of Corrosion Engineers) in Calgary, Alberta.

Keith Sand E.I.T., (Chemical Engineer – Corrosion) - Keith brings a fresh outlook to corrosion engineering and how corrosion affects the petroleum industry infrastructure. He started with Broadsword Corrosion Engineering Ltd. in March of 2003, having recently graduated from the University of Western Ontario (London, Ontario) with a B.Sc. in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering. Key responsibilities Keith shares are the building of Corrosion Engineering Assessments and Corrosion Management Plans. His greatest technical challenge and achievement thus far has been the diverse application of chemical and mechanical engineering principles in developing Broadsword's enpICDA™ web-based software used to predict pipeline aqueous- phase internal corrosion. Under the tutelage of Patrick Teevens with help from METACYNE Inc., he has developed enpICDA™ into a marketable product.

Roy Foley (Quality Assurance and Corrosion Specialist) - Roy contracts to Broadsword through Weaselhead QA and Inspection Ltd., and has over 49 years experience in the fields of materials, pressure equipment fabrication, materials and welding specifications and corrosion. Roy has extensive shop fabrication inspection and experience, pressure safety valve servicing requirements and other ASME - related expertise. Roy is involved with Broadsword by coordinating QC and OIP inspection related requirements. His vast wealth of knowledge is a definite asset to our clients by ensuring safe and reliable pressure equipment operation. He is also an API-510 Certified Pressure Vessel Inspector and a NACE Certified Corrosion Specialist,G.

Tricia Smyth, B.Sc. (Senior Corrosion Technologist) - Tricia has over 11 years experience in the oil and gas industry, working in both the fields of EH&S and corrosion control. Tricia is a member of NACE International, and is a NACE certified Senior Corrosion Technologist, an internationally recognized designation. Key responsibilities are designing and implementing internal corrosion mitigation programs, recommending monitoring, pigging and chemical inhibition programs. Tricia co-ordinates, interprets and analyzes clients corrosion data from monitoring devices and water analyses. She also prepares and updates many of Broadsword's CMP's and POMM's developed for our clients.

Chuntao Deng, E.I.T, PhD - Chuntao started with Broadsword Corrosion Engineering Ltd. in December of 2004, having recently graduated from the University of British Columbia (Vancouver, BC) with a Ph.D. degree in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering, specializing in the pulp and paper-making processes, and transport phenomena. Chuntao is a 2004 Alberta Ingenuity Fund Industrial Associateship recipient hired to further develop enpICDA™ into a comprehensive pitting and general corrosion prediction tool. The key responsibilities of Chuntao are to work with Keith under the supervision of Pat to incorporate the effects of comprehensive scaling in sour gas environment, the geometry factors in pitting and under-deposit scale corrosion into enpICDA2™ and to conduct model validations via testing with JEM Designs, Bio-Chem Consulting and Baker Petrolite.
